Frequently Asked Questions

  • What Makes this Approach Unique? In Nutrition Response Testing we do not diagnose or treat disease as in medical practices. We analyze, assess your body's current health status, and design a personalized health improvement program.

Simply put, first we do an analysis, and then we design a nutritional program to help you handle what was found in our analysis of your body and condition.
  • How Does it Work? The analysis is done by testing the body's neurological reflexes.

The reflexes are the body's way of telling us what and how your nervous system is doing-as it is the nervous system's responsibility to regulate the body's functions for each and every organ. The testing includes organs, glands, joints, muscles, etc.

Instead of connecting electrodes to the areas being tested, the practitioner does the analysis by contacting your extended arm with one hand and contacts the specific reflex area with the other hand. If the tested reflex is stressed, your nervous system will respond by reducing energy to the extended arm which will weaken and cause it to drop. This drop signifies underlying stress or dysfunction which can be affecting your health.

Foot Baths
  • Who Can Benefit from Ionic Foot Baths? Most people can benefit from an ionic foot bath. It is especially good for those suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, skin conditions, fungal or yeast infections, and cancer. The benefit of this form of detox is that it is, gentle and safe, and not compromising because it bypasses the gastro-intestinal system.
  • How does the ionic foot bath work?During a session, the client submerses his or her feet in a specific concentration of salt water. A metal coil is placed in the water and is attached to a machine which emits a pulse of electricity. A conductive strap is attached to the client's wrist, and the same electric current is pulsed through the client's body during the session. This is a weak electric current and is not painful.

When the electric current is pulsed through the salt water, the water splits into positive and negative ions. These ions in the salt water are attracted to the ionic compounds in your body which are not of benefit to you - such as pesticides, preservatives, and heavy metals. Some of these toxins are pulled out from your body through the pores of your feet. Your feet have over 4,000 pores and they are the largest in the body. This makes makes the foot an ideal modality for detoxifying the body.

Other ions are transported throughout the body via the circulatory and lymphatic system. The ions from the foot bath system neutralize oppositely charged toxins in the cells that are normally slow to exit the body. Through this process, all the body's organs become energized and stimulated to function optimally. The body then rids itself of these toxins through normal urination, elimination, and sweating.

Salt baths as a means of detoxification and healing have been used for millennia by different cultures around the world, such as the Ayurvedic tradition of India and the ancient Roman bath houses. The idea is that the salt draws out toxins via osmosis and diffusion. Swimming in the ocean is a natural form of ionic detox - the pulsed electric current from the coil amplifies the effect to an even greater degree. Using an electric charge to split water into ions as a healing modality is a relatively new concept. It first emerged as a way to treat cancer by submersing the client's whole body in a detox bathtub. The modern technological approach to this method of detoxification can be traced to the work of Dr. Royal Rife.
  • Is the water brown because of toxins?During the foot bath, the water begins to change color naturally because of the chemical reaction between the electricity and the salt water, not because of toxins. The debris that begin to form in the water are the toxins.
  • Does the ionic foot bath remove heavy metals? In a 2008 study by Center for Research Strategies (crsllc.org), 31 participants underwent ionic detox two times per week for 12 weeks. The amount of aluminum and arsenic in their blood was measured before and after the 12 weeks. The average blood aluminum level decreased by 46% from 79.8 ppb (parts per billion) to 43.1 ppb. The average blood arsenic level decreased 24% from 4.6 ppb to 3.5 ppb.
